Sayyed al Anbiya:
Mohammed al Mustafa (S.A)

12th Rabi Ul Awwal -This auspicious day reminds us the birth of leader of this world. Mohammed Al Mustafa (S.A). This day is the day of birth of a bright light of the world of illumination in this terrestrial world. It is the birth anniversary of an Arab Prophet, the leader of the Prophets, On whom Al Qura’n has been revealed. And in whose progeny a succession of Imams (S.A) is to take place till the Day of Judgment. May Allah bestow showers of Salawaat and Salaam on him. And on this auspicious occasion of "MERAJ" may Allah give us taufiq to perform the Zikr of Mohammed Al Mustafa (S.A), and may Allah grant us Barakaat of this Salawaat according to our endowments.

Allah the magnificent made this messenger the chosen one. Syedna Idris Imaduddin (R.A) narrates that Allah surveyed the world and chose the Arab land, the second time he saw and chose Mecca in Arabia. Third time, he saw and chose Quraysh from Mecca. And still further, He saw and discerned Maulana Abdul Muttallib from Qureysh. Then He procreated Abdullah through Abdul Muttallib and sent Mohammed (S.A) this chosen one through Abdullah’s breed. He made him the sixth Apostle after which there is no Prophet to come.

Mohammed (S.A) was born of the womb of Maulatena Aamina Binte Wahab to illuminate the world and to bring out mankind out of the darkness of ignorance, paganism, and envious and jealous tendencies. The four basic elements, which constitute this world, welcomed him paying homage to him.

When Mohammed (S.A) was only a child He used to go to Kaaba with his grandfather Maulana Abdul Muttallib, and sometimes would sit on the special cloth spread there for his grandfather. Which denoted his specific position and dignity. People surrounding him would try and remove Mohammed (S.A) from there, but his grandfather allowing him to sit there would say to people. "His Glory And Dignity Is Unparallel".

During his young age Mohammed (S.A) displayed a score of miraculous glories. Arab tribes would long for his company, as wherever he would be, Peace and security would prevail. It was during this period that the construction of Baitullah took place. As the work proceeded and it was now time of installing Hajar Al Aswad in its place, the Arab tribes quarreled as; everyone wanted to assume this prestigious task to be performed by him. At last they decided as to whoever would emerge from the turning of the street would decide upon the matter. It was so destined that Mohammed (S.A) appeared from the turn and instantly all the parties declared that a trustworthy had come. He solved this delicate issue with a remarkable competence and installed the Hajar E Aswad with his own hands. Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A) says:

"What a glorious prophet: Who emerged and installed the Hajar E Aswad although that he was only a child."

Prophet Mohammed (S.A) was once asked to give cognizance of his owns self. He said " I am invocation of Ibhraim (A.S). And Christ has heralded good omens about me". When Mohammed (S.A) reached 40 years of age Allah Subhanahu bestowed upon him the glorious status of Prophethood. He became Prophet at the time when ignorance, injustice, jealousy, arrogance, falsehood and like evils were spread among people. And it was the night of Mera’j, when he was summoned towards Allah, It is said that on the night of Mera’j, on every sky he saw Ali (S.A) on the "Throne of Karamat". Rasulallah (S.A) was startled seeing the virtue of Ali (S.A). When Rasulallah (S.A) inquired about it, he was informed that, the Angles desired to see Ali (S.A) and get the sharaf of his Didaar, so Allah has created an Angle on every sky, with the countenance of Ali (S.A). Further When Rasulallah (S.A) reached the destination, Allah Subhanahu, pulled his messenger so close to him that the Almighty almost clouted Rasulallah (S.A) in his eyes.

Quraysh from Arabs, denied recognizing him a prophet, and caused every possible trouble to him. He was blamed to be involved in Sorcery and Magic, as also said to be poet gone insane. The more miracles he showed the more astray they turned. Once he took pebbles in his palm and said they are recognizing my Prophethood. On another occasion he commanded a tree to root out and come up to him which it obediently did. But Qureysh of Mecca would not listen to him. Such adverse were the conditions and Allah’s command was " O’ Mohammed warn your people as you are ordered".

To carry on Allah’s command, Mohammed (S.A) called on 40 persons from his clan to respond to Allah’s call to Islam. He had invited all these people on meal and had shown them the miracle by satiating their thirst and hunger by single cup of milk and goats flesh of thigh. Although, each of the invitees could have consumed a bag full of milk and a whole goat. It was on this occasion that Mohammed (S.A) had appointed Ali (S.A) as his regent while his opponents mocked his appointment. Mohammed (S.A) was commanded to further expand his mission by a verse of Qura’n revealed upon him. " You warn the people of Mecca and what it surrounds". Rasulallah (S.A) would warn and convey his message to those who came Mecca during the pilgrimage of Hajj.

A group of people from Medina answered his call and entered the faith of Islam. Allah Subhanahu revealed upon Him, "Continue with adherence, your call as you are commanded". The revelation continued upon him calling him to " Remind if remembrance benefits". As more and more people thronged to Islam the area of call too enlarged till Allah said " We have sent you for the entire mankind". In another it is said "Say O’ Mohammed I am the messenger towards you all". He was a warning and a messenger of mercy as well. Allah Says " We have made mercy Personified in thee for the entire world".

Allah has bestowed upon man the three invaluable bounties namely Knowledge, Life and Potential. To utilize these and to emancipate the human soul from this transitory existence, Allah has sent down his mercy personified in the person of Mohammed (S.A). Prophet Mohammed (S.A) established the religion of Islam for this purpose. To render goodly guidance and to call to the path of Allah by wisdom is the work of Prophet himself and goodly man of such a spiritual caliber. It needs commitment and resolution.

It is the belief of Mumineen that today Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS) is present amongst us to guide us during the seclusion of Imam (A.S). To call to the path of Allah is his work. He is indeed guiding Mumineen through wisdom and goodly council.

Just as wisdom spoke on the lips of Rasulallah (S.A) today it flows out from the councils of and deeds of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS). May Allah grant Aqa Maula (TUS) a long and prosperous life.

Ameen.
